Since 2011 there has been a research project to explore the genetic aspects of VIP. This has been undertaken by the Centre for Integrated Genomic Medical Research (CIGMR) at the University of Manchester with the work being funded hitherto by the Hungarian Vizsla Welfare Charity , who share our aims. Over the years HVWC donated a total of £46K to the project – this money having been raised by huge efforts on the part of the UK Vizsla Community.

To recognise the now quite distinct roles of HVWC and the Vizsla Health Trust, the HVWC Trustees agreed in 2021 to transfer over to VHT the residual monies in their ‘VIP Fund’, totalling £10,848.51. We are most grateful for this donation
